About The Brand

Saint Max is made in the heart of Provence by the Abeille-Fabre family, the same team behind the historic Rhone estate Chateau Mont-Redon. With more than a century of winemaking under their belt, they have brought their expertise south to the sun-drenched vineyards of Provence. The result is a range of wines that reflect the regions hallmark elegance, freshness, and finesse capturing the laid-back sophistication that Provence is famous for.

Vineyards

The Saint Max vineyards sit in the Cuers Valley and along the foothills of the Massif des Maures prime winegrowing country in Provence. Warm Mediterranean days, cooler nights, and the influence of nearby sea breezes help create grapes with bright aromatics and balanced ripeness. The soils here an even mix of schist, clay, and sand naturally keep yields low, which means more concentrated flavour and a true expression of the local terroir in every bottle.

Winemaker Profile

Pierre Fabre is the fourth generation of the Abeille-Fabre family and has led winemaking at Chateau Mont-Redon since 2008, stepping up as Estate Director in 2017. He combines a respect for tradition with a willingness to embrace modern tools introducing updates such as optical grape sorting and expanding the familys vineyard holdings into renowned appellations including Gigondas, Lirac, and Vacqueyras. His focus on quality, attention to detail, and commitment to sustainable practices are at the core of Saint Max delivering wines that are stylish, fresh, and unmistakably Provence.
